Overview

Easy/moderate walk, undulating, and a variety of stiles - and views. Road, tracks and field walking.

Route - up Jumper Lane then down through Rainowlow to walk across fields to Lima Clough. Quiet roads to Sowcar, past the Poachers Inn, then down Mill Lane towards Ingersley Vale and the waterfall at Waulkmill. Many remains of industrial activity to see there. We return to Rainow on flagged paths across fields then Sugar Lane.

Lots of sheep in the fields so any dogs must be on leads. Bring a snack and drink - 'coffee' stop near Lima Clough.
