A circular walk from the village of Richard's Castle up to the High Vinnalls, the highest point in Mortimer woods and back.
Weather permitting we should get some good views enroute.
We will have an opportunity to visit the ruins of the castle and the old church which is no longer in use.
Terrain is forest tracks or fields (predominantly pasture) with a short stretch on road. There are a few stiles (some could be in better condition!).
There is uphill and downhill but mostly reasonably steady (one short steeper bit)
Please bring a packed lunch and mid morning snack/drink.
Car sharing is encouraged to minimise fuel cost and carbon footprint. Registered assistance dogs only (unless specified)
Option for a refreshing pint or whatever your tipple is afterwards at The Maidenhead Orleton (only 3 minutes drive away)
