Overview

A moderate-paced circular walk led by Jane R (Mobile No: 07906 987503). Along riverside, through Richmond Park (entering through Richmond Gate and exiting through Ladderstile Gate) to Dorich House Museum (67 Kingston Vale, SW15 3RN – the studio home of Dora Gordine and Richard Hare, open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, free admission) for an extended lunch break: picnic in garden (hot drinks and cakes are available but no savouries. Card payments only). Kingston Vale is a drop out – served by frequent buses. Then through a corner of Wimbledon Common to re-enter Richmond Park through Robin Hood Gate and exit the park through Cambrian Gate to follow a succession of pleasant roads and paths back to the station. Easy walking and no stiles. Map: E161, London A-Z.
