On the Heart of Wales Line Trail between Cynghordy and Llandovery
Hugging the hillside above Afon Brân, our perambulations unfold in a tapestry of green pastures punctuated by wooded copses, the skyline dominated by the outline of The Black Mountain.
Later, we reach the historic Dolauhirion Bridge spanning the larger Afon Tywi, and follow its progress back towards Llandovery.
Ride and Ramble: Using our local public transport system, an occasional series combining the freedom of a point-to-point walk with the adventure of a bus or train ride.
Generally easy walking on good tracks and trails. The obligatory occasional squelchy bits to be expected. Many stiles and gates, all in good condition.
Lambs abound,so no dogs, except assistance dogs.

12:00 meet Llandovery rail station car park. 12:09 aboard train (bound Shrewsbury). Bring payment or Concessionary Travel Card. For those travelling from Llandeilo, we can also meet at Station car park 11:30 to car share.
