Overview

This is a clockwise route from the car park in Rowarth, with an initial climb to Ludworth Moor. We continue to Coombes Edge, Mares Back and Cown Edge Rocks. We then join the Pennine Bridleway to Lantern Pike before returning to our start point. We'll be walking on footpaths, restricted byways and lanes. It may be muddy underfoot in places. If it's a clear day we should enjoy some good views. Post walk refreshments will be at The Little Mill in Rowarth. Total cumulative ascent 2000 ft. Tel 07881788867. Assistance dogs only. Full Day. Bring lunch and adequate liquids. Booking is essential and opens from 13/01/2026. Book using https://nmc-ramblers.org.uk/ or click link below.
