Overview

This leisurely walk of 4.5 miles starts in the village centre of Ruyton XI Towns.  It follows footpaths along the River Perry, then takes a green lane and sandy paths to higher ground, where there are good views, before returning to the village with its historic church and castle remains.

At this time of year, any route can be muddy, so good, waterproof footwear is essential.

Free parking is available at the recreation ground, via Doctor's Meadow and Aldersley Way.
