Overview

From the car park we head east down a rough track (steep in places, so walking poles recommended) to Moorlands farm and then across some fields to Dale Head farm. From there we walk up a bridle way to a dismantled railway. We follow this SE past some disused mines and then make our way through woodland to North Dale. We then walk through more fields to arrive in Rosedale village where we will have our lunch.

After lunch we walk through the churchyard, then across a caravan park and up through a field to Daleside Road. We then follow the road up through Thorgill to Medd's farm where we turn left and begin our ascent back up to the dismantled railway at Sheriff's Pit. From there we have an easy walk back to the cars.
