This is a picturesque moderate 10 mile walk in the Chilterns. It starts in Sarratt, loops southward through farmland and woods to reach Churchend and then down to the Chess Valley which we then follow northwards for a short distance before crossing a footbridge and climbing  through farmland and tracks to reach the hamlet of Chenies.
From there we descend through woodland down a steep slope to a road to cross the River Chess again to climb uphill eventually to Flaunden where we will have a picnic lunch in the Church yard, with the option of visiting the Green Dragon pub.
After lunch we follow relatively level country lanes, footpaths and a few stiles to return to Sarratt.

At this time of year some paths may be very wet and muddy so waterproof walking boots and clothing are essential. Some descents and ascents may be slippery so walking poles may be useful.
We will stop for drink stops enroute and for a picnic lunch in Flaunden when there is an option to visit the Green Dragon pub.
There are no public toilets on this route so we will be using woodlands enroute for comfort stops.
Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead
Finish time is only approximate.
