We are the Hampshire 40+ Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

A pleasant walk heading out of Shawford for Twyford. The first mile or so will involve road (pavements)
but once this is done there are only footpaths with a couple of stiles to negotiate. We head out of Twyford on Love Lane joining the Monarch's Way near the Twyford Pumping Station. Shortly after we head north and pick up the Pilgrims' Trail passing Hockley Golf Club. Then it's over the M3 by St Catherine's Hill picking up the Itchen Way tow path and it's the last couple of miles back to Shawford. Drinks (optional) at The Bridge Inn (Shawford) to finish.
Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes ahead of the walk start time.
Well behaved dogs welcome, lead required through farmland.
Please bring a packed lunch for a stop on St Catherine's Hill (overlooking Winchester).

Plenty of parking around the village. The station cafe is popular so it would be great if as many as possible could avoid parking in front of it so as not to affect its business.
