We are the Hampshire 40+ Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Join me for a festive 7 mile Winchester walk taking in streets, sights, river and St Catherine’s Hill where we’ll have lunch. Expect some ups and downs with plenty of time to take in lovely buildings, water meadows and some great views. The Christmas Market will be in full swing by the cathedral for those who wish to visit after the walk.
Please note 11 am start time as it follows the Hampshire 40+ Christmas Party
Winchester will be busy - please allow plenty of time for parking. Some car parks are free on Sundays including The Chesil Multi Storey which is 5 minutes’ walk from the meeting place in Abbey Gardens.
Bring packed lunch and refreshments for lunch stop.
Optional refreshments afterwards at The Bishop on the Bridge SO23 9JX ( if there’s room!) or many cafes and pubs to choose from.
