Stop Press! London Road north of Tesco Riverhead is closed. From Sevenoaks get to Shoreham via Otford.
Note: We will now start at 9:40 to tie in with train to Shoreham
This walk has been changed since first posted, as a result of recces! It starts in the same place, and will take the same time, but goes in the opposite direction to what was originally described. It has lost about half a mile and gained nearly 100ft of ascent, and it's a lot better under foot.
The walk now starts up the steps above Shoreham, before going past Romney Street Farm and then on to West Kingsdown. Several ups and downs, ending with a lovely descent into Eynsford, where we'll stop for lunch.
Bring a packed lunch, although there should be time to buy refreshments
After our break it's uphill over fields, with views, followed by a walk through the woods beside Lullingstone golf course. We then descend to the 'balcony' above the Shoreham Cross and continue through Meenfield Wood and (hopefully) some blusebells before descending back to our starting point, possibly via a hostelry detour.

Few stiles. Some longish ascents, Should generally be good underfoot, but some stretches will be rather muddy.

Park on Station Road just west of the railway bridge (on the right heading into Shoreham from the Shoreham Road, A225). Thameslink trains run every half hour to Shoreham, taking an hour from Blackfriers, 22mins from Bromley South.
