Overview

A walk which meanders and undulates, mostly on National Trust land, passing many points of interest - a well sunk by Octavia Hill (NT founder), a jam and chutney stall (but empty on the last two visits!), an old ram pump, the pretty hamlet of Frenchstreet, a bat tower, a memorial and reminders of an old estate.

Generally good under foot, but some mud, especially if there's been recent rain. One long set of steps, and some shorter ones.

OK for well-behaved dogs (two fields with livestock)

Please check on the website or call the leader in case of any last-minute changes, especial if the weather's bad.
