Overview

A brisk walk through Ditchling Common, past newly planted vines, along Streat Lane to Plumpton for lunch.  After lunch there is a steep climb onto the South Downs before the gentle descent past Landport to the traditional market town of Lewes.  Toilets at Wivelsfield station but not always open; please use toilets on the train.  No further loos until lunch time.

Lunch: bring picnic - pub for drinks/loos only.

Train/transport details: London Victoria 9:24; Clapham Junction 9:31; East Croydon 9:40; (Southern train to Eastbourne).  Buy return to Lewes.
