Explore the hidden green spaces of East Brighton. Starting behind St Peters church we cross The Level and ascend Tenantry Down via a grand Victorian Cemetery and a pocket park that was once a railway line before descending and then re ascending onto Hollingbury Castle for more panoramic views. We then make a grand circuit of Stanmer woods before ending in Falmer village.
Although we are often close to built up areas, some of the paths are steep and also rarely walked so trousers and boots will be needed and poles might be helpful on a couple of steep ascents and descents.
Coffee bar at start, pub at finish. Snack picnic on route- please bring water too.
The start point is close to bus stops at St Peter's Church and is a short walk from Brighton station. The walk finishes next to 25, 23 and 28 bus stops and is close to Falmer station.
