We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We leave from the Red House car park in Marsh Benham. The walk will have two sections.
The first part will start on a narrow road to enter the Kennet Canal at Marsh Benham. We will walk along the canal for about 15 minutes, turn back and regroup at the Red House - this section should take 45 minutes and will be leisurely. Walkers can choose to leave the walk here or continue with the second section.
The second section will be at a brisk pace along a country road leading to fields within the Benham Estate, where we will take a public path for a slightly uphill walk to a small wooded area bordering the A4 and then turn around to return the way we came.
Those who wish, can take refreshments of drink/food at the Red House.
The walk is limited to 12, so please book at the website link by 6pm, Tuesday, 8 July.
