Overview

This will be a leisurely circular walk of approximately 6 miles.  We will walk through the village of Stanstead Abbotts before heading for the riverside path along the River Lee (or "Lea"), passing Lee Valley Marina and Amwell Nature Reserve with its wildlife, view points and hides (don’t forget to bring your binoculars!).  Also there is a very nice coffee hut called "Tea on the Lea" with excellent coffee and cakes for those who might want something en-route.

We will then enjoy the Hertfordshire open countryside before heading back to the pub for an optional lunch.

Further walk details will be provided nearer the time.
