We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Please join the Winchester group’s mid-distance walkers for an early 2026 airing in the beautiful middle Test Valley. The walk is in two parts with a break for lunch at around 12.30hrs - the longest continuous upward gradient being 60 m in the morning.
The lunch stop will be at the Waitrose Farm Café, Longstock Park. The usual hot and cold snacks, sandwiches, cakes, drink, etc menu can be seen on their website using the attached link. There are a few picnic tables near the car park for anyone wishing to bring their own food.
The walk is suitable for well controlled dogs (the only stile has a dog gate), but they are not allowed in the café.
This medium sized NT (free) carpark is popular with dog owners, but on a working day there should be room for us; please share transport and be prepared to park imaginatively.
