This walk visits three valleys situated near the top of the Rhondda Fach. Using forest tracks and paths and a number of open areas on a good day you will be promised excellent views from both ends of these valleys.
The route up is via a rutted stony track which in places has become a stream on wet days. Once up we walk along forest tracks to the bwlch. The path down is very steep with a fence to hold onto as we descend.
We will walk past the fabled gate in Cwmparc which has been the cause of recent controversy. This section is mostly forestry tracks with a descent back into Treherbert on a track which in places is steep but nowhere as bad as the earlier steep track.
Due to the path up and down we have listed as strenuous. We will take it slowly going up and down.
