In 1951, Fifty Weekend Walks round Manchester was published. Through the Vale is the first walk in the book and we have reversed the route and edited it for modern times. Once we leave the streets we make our way to Stockport off road and via many vales ,with a river always close by. Once in Stockport you can catch a return train or join us on a trip around a variety of excellent old and new bars in the town centre.
