Assuming that the weather isn’t going to improve much over the next week or so I have been searching for a walk that includes made up paths that hopefully, won’t be too muddy! Meet at the Visitor Centre, Tittesworth, ST13 8SN, SJ 994603 at 10.00 am. This walk around Tittesworth reservoir is 4.9 miles and a total ascent of 352 ft. We cross 2 bridges over the River Churnet and the dam that once supplied the nearby town of Leek. Parking is charged at £3.50 for up to 2 hours and £5.50 for 2 – 4 hours.
Car sharing – if anyone would like to car share for part of the journey we can meet in the lay-by opposite the Harrington Arms, Bosley SK11 0PH. Please arrive no later than 9.15 am. There is a café and toilets by the car park and the Lazy Trout is close by.
