Overview

We take the Middlewood Way through Bollington to Tinkers Clough, then follow the canal towpath to Jenny's Farm from where we go by field paths and tracks to cross Kerridge Ridge and return by the path along the far side of the ridge to Waulkmill Falls, then round the base of White Nancy and down Hurst Lane to the canal towpath, cross the aqueduct and return to the car park via the recreation ground.

Two short sections of steep ascent & descent, at Tinkers Clough (stepped paths) and Kerridge Ridge (descent is on grassy path - could be slippery if wet, so bring poles if you use them); one or two stiles. Stout footwear required;

Bring drinks and snack for a coffee stop.
