Starting from Llanthony Priory with ample free parking, our first climb of the day will follow Rhiw Cwrw (The Beer Track) and emerge on Hatterrall Ridge (552m) with stunning views in all directions (weather dependent of course) and a well earned coffee break. After a lengthy ridge walk we then descend steep moorland and take lunch at the delightful leaning church at Cwmyoy.
The second steep climb of the day leads us onto the valley's western ridge and a visit to the Bronze Age / Roman Hillfort of Twyn y Gaer. The second long ridge walk of the day eventually leads us back down to the start following the Beacons Way via Garn Wen and Bal Bach.
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of warm clothing.
No dogs please.
For those wishing to car share we will be leaving Wilton Road Car Park at 08.20am.
To book a place on the walk, text or WhatsApp Keith on 07824 844349 (please do not use the email link).
