Overview

From Crown Lane Parkend, we walk through Nagshead Plantation passing old mines and quarries to the sculpture of the men trapped underground at Union Colliery in 1902. We then cross Cannop Ponds to return to Parkend.

Walk will be on tracks, grassland, and uneven old tramways. Due to the time of year part of the walk could be muddy with slippery stones: please wear suitable footwear.
