A circular walk from Upper Halling with lovely views over the Medway valley including the Medway bridge and Rochester Castle. Taking in a section of the North Downs Way. Passing Dode Church (now deconsecrated), a tiny Norman building. The village of Dode was wiped out by the Black Death in 1349. There should be some lovely autumn colours in the woodland areas.
Some very steep climbs and descents, a few stiles, quiet lanes, rough tracks. Walking poles useful. Bring your own refreshments for the nibble break.
Please arrive 10 mins early to sign in and hear the walk briefing.
After the walk, there will be an opportunity to visit the Moot Brew Co where there is a taproom brewery and a café, also a Farm Shop (Court Farm Butchery and Country Larder).
