Vale of White Horse Ramblers are a friendly group who walk mid-week and weekends in southern Oxfordshire. Highlights are the Ridgeway, the Thames Path, and the Uffington White Horse.
One of the group's "Vale Mince Pie walks for Christmas". Regular short walk from Wantage held on the third Thursday of every month. The Beacon is 200m south of the Market Place where buses arrive. There is paid car parking there. No pub stop, but we aim to be back in Wantage in time for lunch. Wantage has a variety of eating places.
