Part 5 of our Wales Coastal Walk Series. We'll be doing this route from South to North this time, starting from the pretty little Victorian town of Llanfairfechan and finishing in Conwy. This way we'll have plenty of options for dinner and drinks once we arrive in Conwy, before taking the train back to our campsite at Llanfairfechan. If you are not staying overnight, you can catch the train back from Conwy.
We’ll follow the official inland route, offering a scenic alternative to the official coastal route. The walk heads through quiet country lanes, wooded valleys, and open farmland, with views of the surrounding hills and views out to sea. Along the way, we’ll pass through the beautiful Sychnant Pass, with its rugged scenery and heather-clad slopes, and may spot Carneddau ponies grazing on the hillsides. The walk finishes in the historic walled town of Conwy, home to its impressive medieval castle, picturesque harbour, and Britain’s smallest house.
