Overview

The River Don at Sprotbrough once formed the boundary between the ancient kingdoms of Northumbria and Mercia. We cross the river and take the picturesque path from Sprotbrough to Warmsworth, then cross back to the north bank to the ancient hamlet of Newton Village. From there we return to Sprotbrough via the T.P.T and the Millennium Way. Excellent eateries locally for sustenance at the end of the walk.
