An enjoyable ramble initially south west on the Barnsley Boundary Walk above the northern edge of Elsecar Reservoir, through Skier's Spring Wood to cross the A6135 onto the TPT and its junction with Black Lane. Turning south east we head to Harley and then Spittal Houses, before eventually emerging at the Old Church in Wentworth. A bridleway through Barrowfield Gate leads into the corner of King's Woood, taking us directly back to the car park at Elsecar.
