Overview

This moderately challenging walk starts near Penshurst, then descends to the Medway, follows the river as far as Fordcombe then slowly climbs back to The Bottle House. There are several stiles and steep ascents as well as scenic views of Walter’s Green and Stonewall Park. Sheep-filled fields mean dogs must be on leads, and waterproof footwear is recommended: the river paths may be muddy.

Please bring plenty to drink on the walk because it will be hot!
