Meeting at the information board at Buchanan Bus Station at 9am we will head to stance 4 for the 9:15am Stagecoach X27 to Kirkcaldy Bus Station.
We will get off the X27 bus at Kincardine North Approach Road, we will then walk about 4 miles to Culross and stop for lunch and toilets. Stage 2 we will walk around the 4 mile Preston Island Circuit, starting and finishing in Culross.
We will aim to return by the hourly number 28 bus leaving at 14:10 for Kincardine, then the X24 (or X27) leaving Kincardine at 41 minutes past the hour. Arriving back in Glasgow around 16:00.
The walk is flat on mostly tarmac paths but some small inclines in the footpath between Kincardine and Culross. There are picnic areas for coffee and lunch. Toilets at beginning of walk in Glasgow and in Culross.
ANYONE WISHING TO JOIN THE WALK AFTER THE MEETING POINT AT GLASGOW BUCHANAN BUS STATION PLEASE TELL THE LEADER IN ADVANCE OF WHERE YOU WISH TO MEET THE GROUP. THANK YOU.
Toilets at beginning of walk and in Culross. Flat mostly flat tarmac paths with views of the Firth of Forth on Preston Island circuit . To ensure walk is completed in daylight lunch stop will be about 30 minutes.
