Walk Description: A really lovely loop taking in the best of Stirling and Bridge of Allan while avoiding busy roads as much as possible. We’ll follow quiet paths around the base of Stirling Castle, join the River Forth for a peaceful stretch, then climb Abbey Craig through woodland to the Wallace Monument. From there we’ll continue through Hermitage Woods into the University of Stirling grounds for a scenic lochside wander.
We drop into Bridge of Allan via woodland paths before returning to Stirling along the Allan Water riverside. The walk finishes with the Back Walk around the castle rock. Expect great views, varied terrain and plenty of green space throughout.
