A new year's walk along the Clyde from Dalmarnock to Govan, criss-crossing some of the 22 bridges along this section of the river.
The walk is flat and virtually all on tarmac so might be slippy depending on weather. There is an opportunity to shorten the walk (and hit the January sales instead?) by peeling off halfway on the section of the river nearest to the city centre. The walk will end in Govan after we have crossed the Govan bridge from the Riverside Museum. We'll stop for coffee and lunch along the way so please bring a flask with a hot drink and some food.
We'll meet at 09:35 on the concourse at Central Station (outside M&S). We'll catch the 09:48 to Dalmarnock. You can meet us at Dalmarnock in time to start the walk at 10:00 if that suits. Please note this walk finishes at Govan.
The walk will start just outside Dalmarnock rail station at 10am after the 09:48 train from Glasgow Central arrives.
The walk will finish in Govan after we cross the last bridge of the day - the Govan Bridge. You can catch buses or subway from Govan back to city centre or cross the bridge to Partick for trains.
