Walk B – Blackwaterfoot and King’s Cave circular (7.5 miles moderate)
9.30am start
Cars leave from Lamlash Sleep Huts car park
A walk along the coast from Blackwaterfoot to King’s Cave and return. The walk crosses Blackwaterfoot Golf Course then goes round the back of The Doon, with its basalt cliffs, to hug the shore to the impressive King’s Cave, where Robert the Bruce is alleged to have had his spider encounter. Fantastic rock ‘sculptures’ here too. A loop round the woods then back the same way to Blackwaterfoot. Approximately 12km (7.5 miles). A couple of short, sharp climbs; otherwise flat.
