Old enough to have visited the Garden Festival or young enough never to have heard of it? Join us for a short walk remembering the event.
We will meet at Govan Subway Station and then walk to the original festival site through Festival Park, along the Clyde ending at Shields Road Subway Station.
If you wish to come on the walk you must contact the Leader (Sandra) in advance by email or text but not more than two weeks in advance, this is 21st August.
Also please provide the Leader with a mobile phone number in case arrangements change.
If you’ve not had a response within a couple of days please check your junk mail.
Walkers should not come on the walk if they have any symptoms associated with the Covid virus.
The walk is all on pavements, walking shoes or trainers are fine.
There are toilets at the start in Govan Shopping Centre.
Walkers should carry an In Case of Emergency card.
Meet outside Govan Subway Station at 5:55 to start the walk at 6pm.
The walk will finish at Shields Road. Walkers can head home either by train the subway back to Govan or into Glasgow City Centre.
