A 5.5 mile walk starting at Nelson Pit Car Park, Higher Poynton. Optional pub lunch after the walk at the Wetherspoons pub (The Kingfisher) in Poynton.

Route: canal, Ryles Wood, Lyme Park, West Parkgate, Throstle's Nest Farm and returning to the start.
