A 7 mile walk starting from Derbyshire bridge carpark. Sk17 6TT. The carpark is free at present and hopefully the toilets will be open.
From carpark, we head up to trig point on Axe Edge, then follow ridge down to Axe Edge End. We then follow footpaths across Knotsbury & Orchard Commons before making our way up to Cheeks Hill (highest point in Staffordshire). Then make our way across Axe Edge Moor back to carpark. This walk is on access land which may be boggy after rain.
Note postcode takes you to a farm……take A537 from Macc to Buxton. From macc, the turnoff is on the lhs just after Cat & Fiddle.
