As with the other GM RIngway stages both start and finish are accessible by public transport, rail and bus in both cases.
Start at 10.30am at Bramhall Railway Station, outside on the road by the rail bridge.
This linear walk takes us from the leafy suburbs into open countryside and features lovely riverside scenery. We will pass through the semi-ancient woodland of Carr Wood, Bramall Hall - a superb Tudor manor house (Grade I-listed), Happy Valley - the first of Stockport’s local nature reserves, Poynton Pool and Park and Norbury Hollow.
The walk finishes at Middlewood Station, where Sunday trains are scarce (14.57, 16 57 in the afternoon) but buses on the A6 are only about 1 km away.
