Overview

WALK DESCRIPTION: Easy, 4.5 miles (7.2km) linear. This walk is a repeat of a walk a group of us did in December and this revisit should show late spring flowers and the trees well into leaf.  The walk largely uses Birmingham's excellent greenway routes on well graded tracks, firstly along the Rea Valley route following the stream.  We leave the route at Northfield, walk to Northfield church and cross the churchyard.  We cross Victoria Common and soon pick up another streamside route towards Bournville Park.  We cross the park and finish the walk on the A4040 outer circle bus for Kings Norton, Pershore Road and points on the outer circle route.  The walk finish is close to Bournville Garden Centre where there is a good cafe - a nice way to round off our short walk for those who wish to.
