Venture up to the West Riding for a lovely 5 mile circular walk around the lakes of St Aidan's RSPB nature reserve, returning via the canal towpath. Very easy, leisurely pace, no stiles, flat, and good paths and tracks throughout.
We will stop for coffee/cake/icecream at the excellent Green House coffee shop (outdoor seating only) towards the end of the walk. Toilets available half way at the RSPB visitor centre. Bring binoculars. St Aidan's is home to many resident and migratory birds including several rare species.
Dogs are very welcome but MUST be on short fixed leads please to protect both birds and wildlife on the reserve.
