We will walk wide farm tracks, a forest or two, picnic by the river Nar, and hopefully encounter Iron Age Pigs.
The pigs are known as Iron Age pigs. These animals are hybrids, resulting from a cross between domestic pigs and wild boar, and were developed approximately 50 years ago to resemble prehistoric pigs. Their introduction aims to mimic natural grazing behaviours, contributing to habitat diversity and ecological restoration efforts.
Bring: A packed lunch; water; and sunscreen; insect repellant.
Dogs welcome but must be on a lead at all times.
