We are the Dearne Valley Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This walk is a mixture of field and woodland paths with a little tarmac walking on quiet lanes with no pavements. There are also 2 short sections on busier roads both of which have pavements for the duration. We cross the Rotherham to Barnsley road on 2 occasions where a little care will be needed. The walk gently undulates for the entire route, with any steeper ascents being very short and not too taxing.

From Wentworth Main Street, turn up Church Field Lane. Carry on up Church Field Lane for about 200 yards keeping the school on your left. The entrance to the car park is after the school on your left.
