We are the Stockport Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Walk Description: A five mile walk, starting from Whaley Bridge Canal Basin Car Park. We will be walking up past Toddbrook Reservoir, then through the woods to higher ground and then on through the fields. Looking over towards our left we have great views of Bowstones and Lyme Park area. We then follow a pleasant track to the old Moorside pub, and from there we will make our way back along a higher ridge towards Whaley Moor where the panoramic views are second-to-none! Dropping down to dipping stones we carry on descending and retracing our steps back into Whaley Bridge and our start point.
There will be an optional pub lunch at The Red Lion in High Lane after the walk.
