Overview

From Whiteways car park the route climbs gradually throught Houghton Forest to Glatting Beacon (3.5mi), then heads through the Bignor Down car park (passing a recently restored pond). After cresting Bignor Hill (views over the Arun valley), there is a steep descent on a chalk track (poles might be useful). The path then gradually descends (with one or two undulations) back to the start.
