Overview

A bracing walk, initially steep climb up to the Moor but fantastic views . We will walk down to Natsworthy and along Honey Tor, Chinkwell Tor and beneath Bonehill Rocks . We pass a memorial stone to RAF men who were tragically killed when plane crashed in 1943.

We will stop for coffee and lunch break. Dog friendly. Toilets at Widecombe, pub and  tea room ( if open) for refreshment on return. Car park free in Widecombe. Little road walking, mostly moor tracks and paths. Bring something to sit on. I have classed this walk as strenuous, but this only applies to the initial climb up to Hamel Down after which it is moderate.

Please text Jenny if you would like to do this walk.
