Overview

Starting at Chastleton we will walk to the village of Adlestrop, which is known for its connection with the poem “Adlestrop” by Edward Thomas and Adlestrop Park, a Cotswold manor house with a Humphry Repton designed park (said to be the inspiration for Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park).  It is not open to the public, so we will only see the outside.  From Adlestrop we will return via a different route to Chastleton and visit the National Trust property, where parts of Wolf Hall were filmed.  There is a toilet there, but no café.  However, tea and cakes are usually on offer at the church.
