Overview

Meet in Woodcote Village Hall Carpark ready for a 10:20 am start.  If the car park is full, please park considerately along the road.

The nearby Woodcote Community Centre Cafe in the Old School House on the Reading Road sells home-made cakes and opens at 10:00am. The cafe is about a 5 minute walk away - which gives us time to get something to take-away before the walk starts.  Please bring cash for the cafe.

The X40 bus from Reading arrives at Woodcote War Memorial at 9:47am.

Our walk today is 9.5 miles long and takes us through woods and farmland to the South of Woodcote. We'll have our picnic lunch near to Whitchurch Hill and with it being the end of April, we may see a few bluebells along the way.  Not as many hills today - 750ft of ascent and the chance of some nice views across the Goring Gap before lunch.
