Overview

An enjoyable walk from Woolwich Arsenal to Blackheath. Passing through the town centre and the redeveloped Arsenal to the River Thames, the walk follows the Thames passing new developments and old industrial areas including the Siemen's factory. Further highlights include the Thames Barrier and The O2. We continue into Greenwich passing the Cutty Sark and the Old Naval College. Then a steep climb through Greenwich Park over Blackheath Heath to the station. Plenty of drop out points throughout the walk.

Lunch: Coffee stop at the O2. Picnic Lunch in Greenwich – assorted cafes and pubs nearby.

Train: London Bridge 10:04; Arr Woolwich Arsenal 10:27; OR London Paddington (Elizabeth Line) 09:57; Liverpool Street 10:08; Arr Woolwich (WWC) 10:22, then a 10 minute walk to Woolwich Arsenal. Woolwich Arsenal is also served by the DLR.
