The walk is 5 miles and mostly flat, with plenty of history along the way!
Starting from Dukes Drive car park, Monton, Eccles, Manchester. It is free to park in the car park.
We will walk along the Bridgewater canal into Worsley village. We will see the Nailmakers shop, the old court house and the Packet house and round through St Mary's church and the clock that strikes 13 to this day! Then up through Worsley Wood and nature reserve then up to Roe Green and onto the Roe Green Loopline. This will take us back through the other side of the woods and past the Old Warke Dam and we will visit the Delph before heading through The Green over a wonderful humped back bridge and back into the canal and then back to the car park.
There will be an optional pub lunch after the walk at The Waterside Bar and Restaurant.
