Overview

This is a hilly 8 mile walk starting from Stalybridge Country Park Car Park, Besom Lane, Stalybridge.  There is on street parking on Besom Lane if there is no space in the car park.

The walk goes through Stalybridge Country Park, past Walkerwood Reservoir, around Harridge Pike before passing between Upper and Lower Swineshaw Reservoirs.  The walk then follows a route across Hollingworth Hall Moor to the trig point on Wild Bank Hill with commanding views over Manchester and the surrounding countryside .  We will then start our descent back to Stalybridge Country Park and our start point.

Please note that some sections of the footpath are rocky and uneven under foot.
