An almost entirely woodland walk around The Wrekin. An undulating route through Beech and Pine forests with glimpses of open fields and meadows. Also at one point the gentle murmur of the M54! Starting from The Wrekin Forest Glen car park, up to the Halfway House, and down towards Littlehill Plantation. Then on towards Wenlock Wood, Limekiln Wood, returning past the golf course and the back of Lawrence's Hill.
The Wrekin Forest Glen car park is now managed by HOZAH parking and requires online payment. The location is listed as 1033 and can be paid for in advance as a mobile signal at the location is not great. Up to three hours is £3 and up to twelve hours £4 (recommended.) There are occasionally some additional free spaces on the way up and opposite Buckatree Hotel.
The first half mile is a steep climb of 650 feet.
